SRINAGAR: The counter insurgent forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Bon Makhama Village of Beerwah in Center Kashmir district Budgam on Sunday morning.
Reports said a joint team of army’s 2RR, and police cordoned off beerwah Village of Bon Makhama Beerwah and conducted house to house searches there.
They said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the forces.
A police officer told news agency KDC that search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in.
