The counter insurgent forces on Sunday launched a cordon-and-search-operation (CASO) in Cherwan village of Kangan in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Reports said a joint team of army and Special Operational Group (SoG) of Police today early morning arrived in the area and laid a siege to Cherwan village.
However, it was not immediately known whether the area was seized following the inputs regarding the militants or it was a routine check.
