SRINAGAR: A mixed contingent of counter-insurgent forces on Friday launched a cordon and search operation in Devar village of Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 28 RR, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF cordoned off the Khan Mohalla Devar village.
They said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
