SRINAGAR: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Karimabad area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that forces have sealed all the entry and exit points and launched house-to-house searches in the area.
A police official said that CASO was launched following information about the presence of militants in the area.
He said that searches were jointly launched by Army’s 55 RR, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and 182 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The searches were going on when this report was being filed.
