SRINAGAR: Government forces on Saturday launched a cordon and search operation in Malik Mohallah Chitragam village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 44 RR, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and 114 batallion of CRPF cordoned off the Malik Mohallah in Chitragam village.
They said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
