Srinagar
The forces on Thursday cordoned off the Turkawangam area of Shopian village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A top police official said that 44 RR and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the village.
He said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
