Forces on Saturday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Kareemabad village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, reports said.
They said that protests erupted in the area after the news about the CASO spread in the area. Forces used tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters.
Sources said on a tip-off about the presence of militants, Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Karimabad and adjoining areas in Pulwama late evening.
