SRINAGAR: The counter insurgent forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation in Phalnar area of Rawalpora in south Kashmir’s of Shopian district.
Reports said that a joint team of army’s 34 RR, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and 14 battalion of CRPF cordoned off the Phalnar area of Rawalpora.
They said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
