Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said that he hopes Majid Khan, the nine day militant who returned to his home, could lead a normal life and “not be harassed”.

“If that’s true then it’s a very good development. Hope he can go back to leading a normal life & not be harassed,” Abdullah tweeted while reacting on reported surrender of footballer-turned-militant.

Earlier, the father of Majid Khan said that he got “new lease of life” after hearing that his son will return home.

Khan, according to sources walked into an army camp in Islamabad after impassioned appeals from his parents to shun militancy.
