SRINAGAR
Former speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, cabinet minister and National Conference leader, Abdul Ahad Vakil passed away at his Rawolpora residence in Srinagar last evening.
He was hospitalized in SKIMS a month back and subsequently discharged. However Wednesday evening he breathed his last after suffering from multiple organ failure, family sources said.
His Nimazi Jinazah was offered Thursday afternoon at Goripora which was attended by hundreds of people.
Vakil represented Sopore, assembly segment.
