Senior Congress Leader and former Vice Chairman of Gujjar Bakerwal Advisory Board Choudhary Bashir Naaz passed away late last night after a brief illness.
Sources said Naaz was laid to rest at Loran Poonch and thousands attended his funeral prayer.
Ch Naaz has served the people in different capacities as MLA Havel, MLC and as VC Gujjar Bakerwal Board.
Governor Satya Pal Malik has expressed grief over the sad demise of Choudhary Bashir Naaz.
In a condolence message, Governor has prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in its hour of grief.
JKPCC Chief G A Mr has also expressed profound grief and shock over the untimely demise of Chaudhary Naaz sahib and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah also expressed grief over the demise of Ex-MLA Choudhary Bashir Ahmad Naz of Poonch.
The duo prayed for peace to the soul of the deceased leader and strength to the grief-stricken family.
Among others Party General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, senior leaders Muhammad Akbar Lone, Mian Altaf, Nasir Aslam Wani, Devender Singh Rana, Ajaz Jan have also extended condolences to the grief-stricken family of late Choudhary Bashir Ahmad Naz.
