Four Children Rescued After Being Stranded In River Tawi

   

SRINAGAR :Four children were rescued after they got stranded in the River Tawi near Peer Kho Temple in Jammu following a sudden rise in the water level on Saturday.

Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that the children were bathing in the river when the water level increased abruptly, leaving them trapped and in danger. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) was immediately alerted about the incident.

Soon after receiving information, SDPO City North and SHO Police Station Pacca Danga, along with an SDRF team, rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. All four children were safely rescued.

Following the incident, SDPO City North issued a public advisory urging people to avoid going near river banks. Parents were also advised to ensure that children stay away from rivers and other water bodies, especially during periods of sudden rise in water levels.
