Four civilians and one civilian were injured after unknown persons lobbed a grenade on Police party near Sumo stand Shopian area of South Kashmir.

Official sources said that the unknown persons hurled a grenade on Police party at Shopian.
In the incident, four civilians and a Policeman sustained splinter injuries, they said.
All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
The injured women were identified as Fareeda wife of Nazir Ahmad and her daughter Nahida residents of Sedow village of Shopian.
The injured police cop has identified as Javid Ahmad a resident of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off.
