The first blaze erupted in Parimpora in the afternoon, engulfing a three-storeyed residential house. Officials said the second floor suffered significant damage before firefighters from Fire Station Safakadal brought the flames under control, preventing further spread.

At around the same time, a Chinar tree caught fire in HMT Zainakote. Firefighters from Fire Station JVC quickly responded and successfully extinguished the flames, averting any threat to nearby buildings.

Later in the evening, a major fire broke out in Pandan area of Nowhatta in Srinagar’s old city, damaging three adjoining residential houses. Fire tenders from Babdem, Maharaj Gunj, and Syed Hameed Pora stations were deployed, and after sustained efforts, firefighters contained the blaze, preventing its spread in the densely populated area.

The fourth fire occurred near Lalbazar at Molvi Stop, where a wooden electric pole caught fire. Firefighters from Hazratbal station promptly doused the flames, avoiding any damage or disruption.

Officials added that all operations were carried out under the supervision of senior officers of the Fire and Emergency Services, and no casualties were reported in any of the four incidents.
