SRINAGAR: Four young men whose photographs with arms had set social media on fire, have been arrested, the army said on Sunday. They were trying to cross to the other side.
An army spokesman told reporters that the militants arrested from Kalaroos by SOG and the army were carrying a lot of arms ammunition.
They had picked up the arms on August 24. Soldiers from 41-RR and SOG intercepted and arrested them.
Defence spokesman in Srinagar has said after the counter-insurgency grid got the information, they laid an ambush which led to “a brief gunfight”. While the four fresh recruits surrendered, the three militants who were accompanying them fled. He said the militants accompanying them were guiding them towards the LoC and were from al-Badr.
