Police on Tuesday arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 5010 from the gambling site.
A police spokesperson in a statement said that a police party of Police Station Nigeen raided a gambling site at Ashai Bagh and arrested four gamblers namely Mohmad Rafiq Dand son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kralyar Jogilankar Rainawari, Abdul Hamid Nadab son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Kralyar Rainawari Jogilanker, Aijaz Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Kupwara and Mushtaq Ahmad Wandroo son of Mohammad Amin resident of Rainawari Nayedboni.
“Stake money of Rs. 5010/- and gambling cards were recovered from the gambling site,” he said.
“In this regard, a case FIR No. 95/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation taken up,” the spokesman said.
