SRINAGAR: Four people were injured when the van they were traveling in skidded off the road in Ramban district on Tuesday, according to official sources.

The incident occurred in the Chanderkot area of Ramban district. Among the injured were two brothers. The van skidded off the Dhalwas-Kadma link road at Papdia near Peeda and fell into a gorge during the evening.

The individuals involved were part of a Barat party and were initially taken to the District Hospital, Ramban. They were later referred to the GMC, Jammu for further treatment.

The injured have been identified as Kewal Kumar, 25, son of Kaka Ram; Neetu, 14, son of Khem Raj; Bhushan, 17, son of Krishnu; and Raj Kumar, 30, son of Krishnu.

The police have taken note of the incident. (KS)
