Four Injured in Pahalgam Road Mishap

   

SRINAGAR: Four persons were injured in a head-on collision between two vehicles near the Toll Post in Pahalgam on Sunday afternoon.

Officials said that at around 2:05 pm, a vehicle bearing registration number JK02DD-4388, driven by Ankush Sanday, son of Sanjay Kumar Sanday and a resident of Sidra, Jammu, was travelling from Anantnag towards Pahalgam when it collided head-on with an Etios car bearing registration number JK14F-8199.

The Etios was being driven by Saqib Hussain Sultan, son of Ghulam Nabi Sultan and a resident of Saidkadal, Srinagar, who was travelling from Pahalgam towards Anantnag.

In the accident, both drivers, along with two passengers identified as Kuldeep Mandal, son of Naresh Mandal and a resident of West Bengal presently residing at Army BB Cantt, Srinagar, and Seerat Bav, son of Sampath Seerat and a resident of Pune, Maharashtra, presently residing at BB Cantt, Srinagar, sustained injuries.

All the injured were shifted to PHC Pahalgam for initial treatment and were later referred to GMC Anantnag for advanced medical care.

Police have registered FIR No. 37/2026 under relevant sections of law, and further investigation has been taken up. Further details are awaited. (KNC)
