Four Kashmiri Pilgrims Die in Mina Stampede: Hajj Committee of India

Hajj Committee of India Tuesday said that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has so for confirmed the death of four pilgrims hailing from Kashmir Valley. Kashmir Life had already reported that atleast four Kashmiri pilgrims were dead in the Mina tragedy.

At least 769 people were killed in a stampede at the annual Hajj pilgrimage on 24 September this month. A Mumbai based official from Hajj Committee of India told CNS that till date as per information received from Consul General of India (CGI) in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, the death of four Kashmiri pilgrims including a woman has been ascertained and confirmed so far.

The official from Hajj Committee of India identified the slain Kashmiri pilgrims as Mehrajuddin Ganai (JKF6955-2-0), Abdul Salam Dar (JKR-9416-2-0) , Ghulam Muhammad Sargaro (JKR2532-2) and Sarah Begum (JKR2585-2).
