Three civilians and an army man were killed and sixteen civilians and an ASI of BSF were injured after armies of both India and Pakistan exchanged gun fires along the international border in Jammu and Kashmir for the third day on Saturday, reports claimed.

The deceased were identified as Ghara Ram of Kapurpur in R S Pura sector and Ghara Singh of Abdullian village, sources said that a 42-year-old Gujjar was injured in Kanachak area. An army man was also killed in sniper fire from across the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch, according to police sources. While the army man has been identified as Mandeep Singh of village Alampur in Punjab’s Sangroor district, reported The Indian Express.

Meanwhile, the state government has ordered the closure of schools falling within five kilometres distance from both the international border and Line of Control in Jammu region as a precautionary measure. People at a number of villages falling on the zero line along the international border in R S Pura, Arnia and Ramgarh sectors have shifted to other safer places.
