Four youth from north Kashmir were handed over to their respective families who were held yesterday while trying to cross LoC north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

“All four youths who were held on the path of violence have been handed over to their respective families, media reports quoted Commander 79 Mount Brigade Girish Kalia as saying during a press conference at in Baramulla.

Media reports further quoted the officer saying that after receiving the information, a joint team of forces including Army’s 161 TA battalion, Baramulla police and 53 bn CRPF apprehended them along Line of Control (LOC) in Limber area of Boniyar on Friday.

However, four of them were handed over to their respective families after proper counselling.
