Indian and Pakistani troops resorted to heavy exchange of shelling at each other’s posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector on Tuesday afternoon.
The fresh exchange of firing took place when Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde is in the state to review the security situation.
According to reports, the fresh firing along the LoC started around 12.30pm and continued for an hour in the Bhimber Gali sector.
Pertinently, The Pakistani and Indian troops exchanged heavy firing in RS Pura sector of the international border (IB) in Jammu district late last night.
