Following the fresh landslides at Ramban area on Srinagar-Jammu highway, the traffic movement was disrupted. However, the men and machinery are on the job to clear the debris.
Reports said that a major landslide occurred at Ramsoo area of Ramban district, resulting in the disruption of traffic movement. “Due to the major landslide the clearance operation might take some time, but as soon as the road is clear the traffic movement will be allowed,” a traffic official said.
“This precaution has been taken keeping the safety of the travellers in mind,” the official added.
Since all essentials of life are routed into the landlocked Kashmir Valley through this highway, people of the valley often go through many problems when there is no connection with other parts of the world.
