As per reports, fresh Public Safety Act (PSA) has been slapped on Hurriyat (G) leader and Muslim League chairman, Masarat Alam Bhat.

After the act, he was shifted from Budgam to Jammu’s Kot Bhalwal jail during last night.

Reports quoting police sources have confirmed that after fresh PSA, Alam has been shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail Jammu.

Significantly, Alam was released in March last month after 53-month long jail term.

Alam has been detained under PSA – “lawless law” – 26 times since 1990.

PSA was slapped on him 10 times since 2008 and six times since 2010.

He had been bailed out in all the previous cases registered against him.

Interestingly, all PSAs slapped on him after 2010 have been slapped on the same grounds.

He was recently arrested for his old Srinagar’s residence for “waiving Pakistani flag” and “raising pro-Pakistani slogans.”
