SRINAGAR: The renowned ski resort of Gulmarg and the Gurez Valley in north Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall this morning, with the weather expected to improve by the afternoon, according to the meteorological department.
An official informed *Kashmir News Observer (KNO)* that nearly an inch of snow had accumulated in Gulmarg since the morning, while snowfall was also reported in the Gurez Valley.
Director of the Meteorological Department, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, stated that weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir would improve later in the day.
He added that generally dry weather is expected from 17 to 23 November, although light rain and snow over higher reaches at isolated places may occur on 24 November.
The weather office has issued an advisory, urging tourists, trekkers, and travellers to plan their activities accordingly. (KNO)
