As the winter had completely set in, night temperatures in Ladakh was recorded at minus 7.9 degrees Celsius while Gulmarg was the coldest place in the Valley with a minus 4.6 degrees Celsius, reveals a Met department official.

“The minimum temperatures on Sunday in Kargil, Srinagar and Pahalgam were minus 5.8, 2.9 and minus 0.5 degrees Celsius, respectively,” the official said.

Meanwhile fresh snowfall in the last 24 hours has closed the Mughal Road, an alternate link of valley with rest of world.

Road connectivity between the valley and the Ladakh region continues to remain suspended for the third consecutive day on Sunday due to heavy snowfall on the Zojilla Pass.
