Higher altitude areas of the Valley, including mountainous zones, are likely to receive moderate snowfall, particularly during the peak activity on April 8. The combination of snowfall in upper reaches and rainfall in plains may impact surface transport on some routes.

In the Jammu region, officials have forecast spells of moderate to heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized disruptions, especially in vulnerable areas. Meanwhile, most parts of the Kashmir Valley are expected to witness intermittent light to moderate rain.

The anticipated drop in temperatures is likely to bring back cooler conditions in the Valley after recent stable weather, with a noticeable chill during morning and evening hours.

Although no severe weather warning has been issued, the ongoing rain and snowfall during peak intensity may cause temporary inconvenience to daily activities and travel.

Weather conditions are expected to improve after April 9, with gradual stabilization likely across the region.
