SRINAGAR: Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have said that the supply and dispensing of petrol, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) continue uninterrupted across Jammu and Kashmir despite prevailing global uncertainties affecting the oil and gas sector.
State Level Coordinator for the Oil Industry, Himanshu Sharma, said Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited are maintaining regular fuel supplies across the Union Territory through their network of terminals, depots, LPG bottling plants and retail outlets.
He said fuel dispensing operations are functioning normally across all petrol pumps in Jammu and Kashmir and supplies are being maintained in accordance with prescribed safety and operational guidelines.
Sharma stated that adequate stocks of petroleum products are available across the supply chain and replenishment is being carried out continuously to meet consumer demand.
He further said LPG distribution to domestic consumers is continuing without disruption and deliveries are progressing normally across the Union Territory.
According to the coordinator, the OMCs are coordinating closely on logistics, stock positioning and distribution planning to ensure uninterrupted energy access to consumers.
He appealed to the public to maintain normal purchasing behaviour, avoid panic buying and rely only on official communications issued by the oil companies regarding fuel availability.
Sharma added that the overall supply situation remains stable and is under continuous monitoring.
