SRINAGAR: United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) offers a fully funded scholarship for PhD candidates from all nationalities.
Applicants with a Master’s Degree in the related field, having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent, and a Bachelor’s Degree in the related field, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent, are eligible to apply. Additionally, a score of 6.5 or higher on the IELTS academic exam or equivalent is required.
The deadline for applications is March 31, 2024.
Required documents for the scholarship include a CV/resume, a completed application form, a copy of the passport, a certified copy of the official diploma and transcript from each university attended, two letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with the student’s academic work, and a statement of the applicant’s research experience and interest.
Eligible candidates must have a dissertation in one of the UAE priority sectors such as Renewable Energy, Transportation, Health, Water, Technology, and Space. The programme duration will be four years.
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, and a bonus of up to AED 3,000 (67,966 INR) from the supervisor’s external research project, or up to AED 2,000 (45,311 INR) from the supervisor’s internal research project.
