A day after six militanst were killed in an operation, Sunday witnessed intense protests in Hajin belt of Sonawari.
As government forces term the operation as “great success”, the locals protested the death of six LeT militants.
The lead among the protesters were the women. Reports said women assembled on roads an raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans in the area where gunfight took place.
Reports said the funeral prayers are being held in Chandergaer area, the place where encounter took place and significant number of people participated.
Being the non-local, the police officials said the bodies shall be laid to rest in graveyard at Gantamulla, Baramulla.
