‘Funtoosh’ is all set to celebrate its 5 year success on their upcoming event Khyber Funtoosh Jashn-e-Chillai Kalaan 2106 at Convocation complex Kashmir University on 30th Jan 2016.
Funtoosh is a known “entertainment brand” of the valley.
An event organizer in its statement to Kashmir Life said that the event was scheduled earlier this month but due to the demise of state’s former Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the event was rescheduled.
“This year, Funtoosh is celebrating the grand success of the idea of celebrating the harshest winter period Chillai Kalaan which was started by us in year 2011,” the organizer said. “The aim of organizing such events for last 5 years is to promote the rich art, culture and heritage of the state. Our events also intend to prove a platform of exposure to the young and budding artists of the state.”
The event – Khyber Funtoosh Jashn-e-Chillai Kalaan 2016, the organizers said, will be a package of ‘theatre items, live musical performances, Stand-Up comedy by Rayees Mohi ud Din and other surprise items and elements’. “The event is a complete family show filled with humour and entertainment,” the organizers added.
The event, they informed, is being sponsored by Khyber Cements, JK Tourism, JK Bank, JKLAWDA, CRC Srinagar, Cemtac Cements, Ahad Group of Hotels, HK Nissan, Blue Fox and Peaks Auto.
