SRINAGAR: The Office of the Assistant Collector (Tehsildar) in Ganderbal has issued a formal public notice mandating the immediate clearance of land and structures located within the alignment of the Ring Road Phase-IIA project.

The directive specifically targets land owners, structure owners, and beneficiaries who have already received compensation for their properties or belongings falling under the designated project route. Under the Bharatmala Pariyojna, the development project involves upgrading the existing Manigam-Ganderbal-Pandach section of the old NH-1D to four-lane standards.
According to the notice, dated June 10, 2026, affected parties are required to remove all structures, belongings, and construction materials within seven days of the notice’s publication.
The authorities have warned that failure to comply with this timeline will result in the mandatory removal or dismantling of these items, with the associated risks, costs, and consequences borne entirely by the respective owners or beneficiaries.
