SRINAGAR: Atiqa Akther, a 49-year-old woman from Harran, Ganderbal, who was critically injured in a road accident on November 29 in the Prang area of Kangan, succumbed to her injuries on Monnday.
The accident occurred when Atiqa was with her 14-year-old son. Both were seriously injured and were immediately transferred to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
While her son remains under medical care, Atiqa’s condition worsened, and she succumbed to her injuries Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident. Authorities have assured that further action will be taken as part of their ongoing inquiry.
The tragic incident has left the local community in mourning, with residents expressing their condolences to the grieving family. (KNO)
