G B Pant/Children Hospital, Srinagar takes lead, yet another landmark achieved on29-03-2016 after the hospital launched its website, inaugurated by Principal/Dean, GMC, Srinagar Prof (Dr) Kaiser Ahmad in presence of I/C H.O.D, Paediatrics, Prof (Dr) Muzaffar Jan.
The website contains data about overall functioning of the hospital, its services, patient load, bed strength and various schemes implemented in the hospital under National Health Mission. G B Pant/Children Hospital has become the first Government Hospital in the valley to launch its website. Besides, being an informative platform, the website will have user interface wherein people can have their feedback, suggestions and also complaints if any.
While appreciating the Hospital Administration, Principal/Dean, GMC, Srinagar highlighted the need of the website in the hospital passing message to other hospitals also to create ICT platform for updating day to day Hospital activities for awareness of general masses.
Secretary to Government, Health & Medical Education, Dr M K Bhandari (IAS) while commenting on the launch of the website said that this move is another milestone of the Government for delivery of quality healthcare to general masses and more steps will be taken by Government in future to develop a transparent healthcare delivery system.
Pertinent to mention that Chief Information Commissioner, J&K vide decision No: SIC/K/Comp/15/2015/825 dated:01-12-2015 directed G B Pant/Children Hospital authorities to upload all necessary information about the functioning of the hospital which may have direct or indirect effect on the cure, protection and safeguard of human life related to the healthcare delivery system.
