Hurriyat (g) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani Friday tried to break his house detention was arrested outside his residence in uptown Srinagar in Hyderpora.
An amalgam statement said Friday noon, “while trying to break his house detention today on 19-06-2015, Friday and to lead the proposed protest march in Sopore against the brutal civilians killings, Conference Syed Ali Geelani was arrested outside his residence at Hyderpora along with his associates by the Humhama police.”
Hurriyats had given ‘Sopore Chalo’ call to sympathize with the families of slain civilians.
The statement added, “Geelani was taken to the Humhama police station.”
