SRINAGAR

A day before he is returning to Srinagar from New Delhi, Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani called for a complete shutdown in Tral and adjoining areas on Wednesday against the “cold blooded murder” of a civilian Khalid Wani.

Hurriyat (G) chairman said a resolution will also be passed tomorrow on Geelani’s arrival against “this worst kind of state terrorism”.

Pertinently, as per police, Khalid Wani was killed in army cross-firing in Kamla forest on Monday. But his father reportedly said that Khalid was “tortured to death”.

Khalid was the elder brother of Hizb commander, Burhan Wani.
