Geelani extends shutdown call to Baramulla district

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has extended his shutdown call to Baramulla district tomorrow on June 24, 2014 against the Sopore killings.

One militant was killed in an encounter in Krankeshivan, Sopore on Monday while as a civilian was killed in police and CRPF firing later after protests rocked the area.

“Geelani has extended his shutdown call for the Baramulla district,” Hurriyat (G) spokesman, Ayaz Akbar said.

Earlier Geealni had called upon people of Sopore to observe shut down against the killing of a civilian, Arshid Ahmad Shah and a militant Mehhmood Bhai.
