SRINAGAR: Hailing the statement of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khan Abbasi in UN general assembly, Syed Ali Geelani said that address was eloquent, apt and represented the aspirations of people of J&K.
Hailing Pakistan for its moral support for Kashmir cause, Geelani said that Pakistan has always raised Kashmir issue in all international forums and has stressed its resolution through, meaningful dialogue and as per aspirations of people.
Accusing India of “haughty approach”, Geelani said she has opted using coercion to prolong the crisis and suppress the people.
Meanwhile, Geelani’s Tehreek-e-Huriyat is organising seminar on September 28, 11 am at its party headquarters to commemorate martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Husain (ra). Besides Geelani, noted scholars and prominent personalities and heads of religious organisations are expected to participate.
