Hurriyat (g) chairperson Syed Ali Geelani Monday congratulated son of late Mohammad Afzal Guru for passing matriculation exams with flying colours.
To encourage the students who secured first twenty positions in the Class 10 examination, a statement issued here by Geelani said that Hurriyat Conference (g) will award the first twenty position holders.
“Students despite trying times are performing exceptionally in their studies and this is a very encouraging sign for Kashmir,” he said.
Lauding Ghalib, Geelani said it would be befitting reply from the son to the hangmen of his father if he excels in his studies. “Ghalib has set an example for other children,” he said.
