Expressing his grave concern over the “genocide of the innocent people of Palestine at the hands of Israel’s fascist forces,” Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani on Tuesday condemned the gruesome incident of killing 52 Palestinians mercilessly.

The spokesman said after the conclusion of World War II, the inception of United Nations Organizations was seen as a good omen by the poor and weaker nations of the globe that justice, equality and respect of human rights shall prevail, whereas the fascism and imperialism shall be dealt with by all peace-loving nations of the world.

The statement while rejecting the American hegemony to accept Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Hurriyat chairman said it is against the sovereignty of a nation like Palestine to intervene in the internal matters of the sovereign state is against the set principles of UNO.

Geelani in his statement further elaborated that the organization of Islamic countries (OIC) should take stock of the situation and use its good offices on diplomatic front to deter the policy of “genocide” of the weaker nations of the world at the hands of imperialistic powers, including Palestine and Kashmir in the light of agreed principles of Islam, as for as respect towards human life irrespective of religion, caste, creed or color is concerned.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while condemning the killings said that what makes these killings more wretched is the callous approach by the international community including the USA which has chosen to glorify these killings under the absurd pretext of Israeli security.

Malik said that how are small children, unarmed men and women of Palestine a threat to Israeli security and how long will the USA and the international community support this apathy against fellow humans especially Muslims. He said that international community, in the same manner, has been maintaining silence on Jammu Kashmir. He said that double standard and policies based on economic considerations and apathy are actually turning our world into a terrible place where humans may be living but humanity is fast diminishing.
