Paying tributes to the militants killed during a brief shootout at Koil in Pulwama district, Ishfaq Hussain Wani, Hurriyat (G) Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani said that every day our youth are sacrificing their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom from the clutches of government, making all of us duty bound to safeguard these sacrifices with utmost commitment and dedication to pursue this cause.
The spokesman said that we should be united in pursuing our common goal to end the age-old “slavery”. Cautioning the people against the multi-faced hypocrites and fresh entrants of the brigade of “stooges”, Hurriyat chairman said that these are the main culprits responsible for the bloodshed and death and destruction all around and they are only concerned with their luxury and dividends at the cost of the life and livelihood of common people.
Meanwhile, Geelani condoled the death of former VC of Kashmir University Hamdi Kashmiri. He said he was a literary legend and has a great contribution in promoting and propagating the Urdu language.
He also condoled the demise of the mother-in-law of Jamiat-e-Ahlihadith chief Ghulam Mohammad Bhat. Hurriyat also staged a peaceful protest against the unabated killings, unchecked brutalities and revengeful attitude towards the political prisoners especially those lodged in far-flung jails outside the state.
