After the 18 day detention of Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, at his residence at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi, the police forces have been withdrawn from there. The ailing leader was not allowed to move out of his place after the Afzal Guru’s hanging on February 09
The family sources revealed that forces personal which had cordoned his residence, were withdrawn on Wednesday, around 6.30 pm.
“My mother called me and informed me that the security forces had just left from their flat”, says Naseem Geelani, son of the ailing leader while talking to Kashmir life over phone.
Naseem added that, “Geelani sahab would be coming back to Kashmir once he is done with his medical treatment formalities”
Pertinently, the deteriorating health condition of Geelani was being raised by his family, while advocating his immediate release.
