Tehreek i HurriyatChairman Hurriyat (g) Syed Ali Geelani continues to remain under house arrest on 31 July and it was today 15th time that he was “forcibly stopped from participating in the Friday congregational prayers” while Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Secretary General Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, was put under house arrest and not allowed to offer Friday prayer.

According to a statement issued to KNS, while terming the government action as hooliganism and state terrorism, a Hurriyat (g) spokesperson condemned it in strong words and said that since the Mufti Sayeed came into power, the restrictions on the movement of the pro-freedom people have been tightened and the graph of human rights violation has shown an alarming trend.

The statement said that all the “beautiful pre-election slogans” of Mufti Sahab and his daughter Mehbooba Mufti have proven just mirage and they now stands helpless before the BJP.
