Hurriyat patriarch Syed Ali Geelani, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Secretary General, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, and Principal Secretary to Geelani Peer Saifullah Tuesday expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the father of senior journalist Shah Abbas.
Abdul Khaliq Shah (75), father of Shah Abbas, was suffering from diabetes and breathed his last late Monday night.
His Nimaz-e-Jinaza will be offered at 11am and joint prayers will be offered on Friday.
In a statement issued here Geelani said, “We share the grief of Shah Family and stand by them in this hour of grief.”
Geelani also prayed for the departed soul, the statement said.
