After his release from continuous house confinement, Huriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani is scheduled to kick start his poll boycott campaign for the forth coming elections in the state on Friday.

The statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) mentions that the Huriyat (G) Chairman would address the people at Main Chowk Sopore after the Friday prayers. “Geelani as per program will also visit Doabgah village and would extend his condolences to the family of Mohammad Afzal Guroo.”

The statement further mentioned that the aged separatist would apprise people about several key issues, future strategy and a few announcements are expected.

“The Huriyat leaders today in meeting at Sopore finalized all arrangements and volunteers were directed to maintain discipline and peace during the public rally.”

A spokesman of the Hurriyat (G) while   in his appeal to print and electronic media has solicited their cooperation in reporting the event.
