Various organizations and leaders have condoled the demise of a son in law of Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani.

Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Ghulam Hassan Makhdoomi who was son in law of Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani.

JKLF chairman along with JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri traveled to Dooru Sopore and participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased, said the statement.

JKLF chairman met with the bereaved family and expressed condolences to them.

Terming the demise of late Makhdoomi sahib as a huge loss for his family and well-wishers, JKLF chairman prayed for his heavenly abode.

While expressing solidarity with veteran resistance leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, JKLF chairman prayed for the Sabr-i-Jamil of the bereaved family.

Hurriyat Conference (G) leaders expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of a son in law of its Chairman Syed Ali Geelani.

According to a statement, a high level delegation of Hurriyat leaders headed by General Secretary Haji Ghulam Nabi Sumji  and accompanied by  senior Hurriyat leaders and activists including Mohammad Yousuf Naqash , Bilal Sidiqi, Rafiq Ahmad Ganai, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Shaqeel Ahmad Bhat, Mohammad Maqbool Magami and many other activists  visited the bereaved family in Dooru Sopore and expressed solidarity with them and prayed for departed soul and forbiddance to grieved family.

Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has expressed deep shock over the sad demise.

Freedom party has condoled Syed Ali Geelani and other bereaved and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and patience of the bereaved family.

A party delegation led by its Secretary-General Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari also visited Sopore to express solidarity with the bereaved. Engineer Farooq, Bashir Azim, and others were also part of the delegation.

Moulana Tari while condoling the passing away of Ghulam Hassan Makhdomi, deliberated upon the philosophy of life and death. He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased.

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir has also expressed its deep sympathy and condolences with the bereaved family, in particular, Syed Ali Geelani, Chairman Hurriyat Conference.

“A team of Jama’at comprising of Faheem Mohammad Ramzan (Secretary-General) and Nazir Ahmad Raina (Guidance Bureau Chief) and accompanied by the local leadership went to the bereaved family and paid tributes to them and expressed solidarity with them and also prayed for the eternal peace of the deceased,” the spokesman said.
