A spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has said that the Assembly Secretariat under the orders of Mubarak Gul, Speaker forwarded a copy of the reply received from the former Chief of Army Staff Retd. Gen. V.K. Singh to all the signatories of the breach of privilege notice today.
The reply from the Retd. Gen. was received by his Secretariat in response to a letter sent by the Assembly Secretariat to him seeking therein his comments with regard to certain revelations made by him during the course of interviews on Times Now and CNN IBN for which a Breach of Privilege Notice against him was given by 15 Hon’ble Ministers/ Members to the Hon’ble Speaker.
While forwarding the reply of the Retd. Gen. to the Signatories of the Breach of Privilege Notice a request has been made to them to furnish their comments if any to the Speaker after the perusal of the same within a week’s time thereby paving way for further course of action in the matter. He has further said that the Speaker also ordered to make public the reply of the Retd. Gen. through Print and Electronic Media.
