Jama’at-e-Islami J&K Tuesday claimed the scheduled Germany-sponsored musical concert in Kashmir valley to be conducted by Mumbai-born Israeli citizen is of no use to the people of Kashmir.

“For this show a whopping amount is being spent, as reported by media. This has stirred genuine political apprehension amongst the common masses in Kashmir,” Jama’at Spokesperson Advocate Zahid Ali said in a statement to KNS.

“We appeal to the revered German envoy in India not to waste away such a huge sum upon this futile exercise by a person having deep roots and relations with a country which is involved in massacre of thousands of innocent Palestinians and other Muslims throughout the world,” he said.

“The German government should instead spend the money on welfare projects in Kashmir where over one lakh children have been orphaned during the ongoing conflict and thousands of women have been widowed,” Adv Ali added.
