SRINAGAR
A girl (name withheld) resident of Tutigund allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at home, in Handwara. A police statement said on Monday.
She was shifted to Sub District Hospital Handwara where she expired. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.
In an another incident a ten years old girl, Sakeena daughter of Fayaz Ahmad Dar resident of Ladoora, was drowned in river Jehlum while bathing.
The body of girl was fished out from the river and handed over to her relatives.
