One-day Gojri Literary and Cultural mushaira organized by Anjuman Gojri Art Development held at Government Postgraduate degree College in Bhaderwah on Sunday.

Hundreds of the people assembled in college premises including prominent Gojri writers, poets and tribal dignitaries, drawn from different parts of the Bhaderwah and Doda.

The first-ever floating mushaira and Mehfil-e-Afsana in the Gojri language in Bhaderwah were designed to promote Gujjar culture in a vibrant manner.

SDM Gundon Chowdhary Dir Mir who was the chief guest on the occasion said the cultural meet was not only to provide a platform to discuss different shades of the Gojri language and culture but it would also help them in their endeavor to promote underdeveloped and unprivileged languages.

More than 30 artists, poets, and writers participated in the mushaira and thus it will enable them to search new talent of border districts in tribal languages.
